Pleco Chinese Dictionary App Reviews

I have been studying Chinese for 4 years and graduated with a minor in Chinese languages at UCLA. I never not used Pleco when studying Chinese. Multiple dictionaries with many example sentences with translation for each word I ever looked up. When I have had an issue with the app (only 2 minor issues in the past 5 years), I would email the developer and they would always get back to me within the same day and resolve the issue. They are very helpful and courteous. 5 stars for this app.

Trust me I have been using this since the Palm version and its the best out there Amazing app. Worth every penny. Awesome app. Nice job the support is really good too if you ever need it. This is the best Chinese dictionary in the world. I bought the OCR add on so I can use my camera to recognize characters and translate it to English or pinyin If your thinking about if its worth the price tag, It is for sure Wow! the OCR can recognize Chinese characters and translate into English Thanks 

I love this app. I am a student majoring in finance and Chinese and I learned about this through a friend. I used the free version a bit and decided to by the professional or student version cant remember which, but I knew Id be using this app in the future for a long time to come.

pleco is hands down the best chinese-english dictionary app in existence and on top of that is the best flashcard app Ive ever used. these developers deserve support!

This app is a must-have for anyone learning Chinese. Ive been studying Chinese for over five years now, have passed the HSK 6 and have a reached Level 3 on the DLPT, and I still use Pleco. Its simple and easy, and you dont even need an internet connection. Highly recommend.

I am a currently serving a 2 year volunteer mission for my church and I am teaching the gospel to Chinese people. This app has made all the difference in the world. The flash card add-on is by far the best part of this app the SRS really helps to memorize thousands of new vocabulary including the built-in HSK (thank you for including). I recommend this to anyone and everyone because it will definitely make the difference in your Chinese learning if youre serious about learning.

I couldnt imagine learning Chinese and living in China without this app. The dictionary is super quick, has everything you need and more. I would recommend buying the ocr live translation thing if your studying Chinese. You can add new vocab to your flashcards much faster with it

Helps me keep current with Chinas way of speaking since I started learning Chinese in elementary from Taiwanese people, but since Im majoring in Chinese and all my professors are from China, I have to make sure I stick to Chinas way to speaking to prevent other students from being confused with my word choices.

I use this for class and everyday life all the time! Wouldnt know what to do without it! Its half the reason I have a smartphone!

Perfect in every way.

I needed to look up a word today and all I had was someone’s really sloppy handwriting. The Pleco Optical Character Reader(OCR) instantly gave me the answer! I don’t know when the OCR got to be so good that it could read something that is virtually illegible. And this is only one of the reasons for buying this dictionary. Pleco is the best tool available to learn Chinese. Nothing else comes close.

Must buy if learning Chinese or need to translate from English to Chinese or Chinese to English. That is all you need to know.

I have been using this app for about 3 years. I found it I useful except when trying explain western foods to the waiters. I have found other apps work better for this
