A must have to learn Chinese. Wish that all dictionaries could be as well made.

Pleco is by far the greatest dictionary ive ever used. It is super fast, complete, and you can search in english and chinese. So far i only bought the flashcard system and it is fantastic. Just when I think i know everything i discover new shortcuts that make it even faster to use. Well recommended.

When inside Organize Cards, Bookmarks section, it would be nice when pressing the chinese characters the audio sound would be cantonese too

If you decided to learn Chinese, you should get this app.

Amazing flashcard system, handwriting recognition, pasteboard, OCR, and character dictionary. If youre serious about learning Chinese, you will find a way to fit this app in your daily life.

For scholarly purposes, the addition of the "Le Grand Ricci" 利氏漢法辭典 is extraordinary. Its closest equivalent is the multivolume Morohashi 諸橋大漢和辞典 in Japanese. This includes GRH (Grand Ricchi Histoire) for the classical language. One can scroll down to the end of an entry to see meanings listed by source: for example the character 安 (peaceful/safe etc.) has two or three meanings listed for canonical texts including <書経>　Book of History, <詩経> Book of Songs, <論語> Analects, and <孟子>. Which uses the character in the sense of HOW? The Book of Songs. Well done, Pleco, at making this scholarly resource available to us.

A very simple interface for tons of different functions. I adopted some solutions (like associating different colors to different tones) for my teaching class and it works really great. Mostly, the team behind this app keeps it updated regularly, so even if you buy some add-ons, you know youre getting real long-term value for what you pay.
